Ava R. In the lovely city of Austin lived a sixteen year old by named Jason. He lived with his mom and dad in a small apartment that they could barely afford, but Jason’s dad was working 24/7 everyday of the week so they were holding up. Jason went to WHD [ Wish,Hope,Dream] High School where all of your dreams come true. Well that’s what all of the students said, but Jason’s dream was almost impossible because he wanted to be a motocross racer and he couldn't afford to pay for the motocross bike so Jason’s dream was crushed, but it all changed on Monday. When Jason went to school and got his report card, of course he had to keep his grades up to keep his scholarship, but his teacher was amazed at his grades, he was at the top of the class. He also had better grades then all of the older kids, so he was so excited when he got a free tickets to a motocross race at a nearby track. For the rest of the day Jason was so happy and he had a little bit of hope for his dream. The motocross race was on Saturday and Jason couldn't wait any longer. Finally it was Friday night and Jason was at his apartment with his mom and dad at the table eating dinner. The whole time Jason didn't say a word, he was too busy thinking about tomorrow. Jason's mom and dad just kept looking at each other confused. Jason’s mom asked if he was ok. Jason nodded his head and said yes. When he went to bed he couldn't stop thinking about the motocross race, he was up most of the night. Jason woke up early in the morning even though the race was in the afternoon he still wanted to get prepared, so all morning he got ready. He packed a backpack full of snacks for him and his mom to eat. When it was time for them to leave, Jason ran to the car and jumped in. When they got there Jason saw posters that said there is a big race next week for people Jason’s age group, but there was a catch, you had to enter with your own motocross dirt bike. The prize was 100,000 dollars! Jason knew if he raised enough money he could buy or rent a motocross bike. If he won, he would make his dream come true and make money for his family. After the race, Jason thought some more about the poster and he decided that if he could raise enough money, he would be in the race. He told his mom and dad about his idea and they said it was great for him to know that you have to work hard for what you want. On Sunday, Jason had a bake sale to raise money for the motor cross bike that was $1,000. After the bake sale he raised enough money to buy a motocross bike. For the rest of the week Jason was practicing for the race at a nearby track. On saturday morning Jason’s mom and dad drove Jason to the track were the race will be. When they got there they gave Jason lots of gear, so he wouldn't get hurt. When Jason came up to his race he came in first in his heat which qualified him for the finals on Sunday. After the qualifying race Jason’s mom and dad gave him a big hug. On sunday morning when Jason woke up he rushed to his mom and dad and woke them up to tell them what today is. It's the motocross race finals. When he went to the track to race he thought for a second if he didn't win his dream was over and his family will be disappointed in him, but if he did win he would achieve his dream and his family will be proud of him. “Ready, Set, Go!” said the announcer then everyone started to race including Jason. Jason was in the lead and he was going quicker than a blink of an eye. Jason won 1st place and won the 100,000 dollars and he was offered lots of sponsors. The local news station came to take photos and videos of him within an hour Jason was famous for winning the race. There were photos of him with his trophy all over the internet. All night Jason didn't know what he did to deserve to have his dream come true. That day Jason proved that no matter what the circumstances, you can do whatever you want... if you believe.
