Call to Prayer
Pray for the Wilderness Pray for the wilderness, vanishing fast, pray for the rainforest, open and vast; pray for the people who live in the trees, pray for the planet brought down by degrees. -Dan Damon
Contemplation “I was born humble, at the foot of mountains, my face was set upon the immensities of Earth, and stone, and upon the oaks full-bodied and old. There is so much writ upon the parchment of leaves, so much of beauty blown upon the winds. I can but fold my hands, and bend my knees in the leaf pages." -James Still, poet

OFFERING OF GIFTS Offertory Statement NICAEA
Holy, holy, holy, Author of creation! Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee; holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty; who was and is, and evermore shall be. Holy, holy, holy, though the darkness hide thee, hindered by our vanities we have not eyes to see. Only thou art holy, there is none beside thee, perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity. Holy, holy, holy, Author of creation! All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea; holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty; who was, and is, and evermore shall be. -Reginald Heber, alt.

SHARING COMMUNION This morning we receive communion by intinction, an ancient tradition in the Church where the congregation comes forward to receive the elements. Communion will be brought to those who prefer to remain seated. Reflecting our conviction that God’s grace is for all people, everyone, regardless of religious tradition, is invited to receive the bread (gluten-free) and the cup.
