Summer Reading Kick-Off Monday, June 3, 2:00 Join us for popsicles, music, and crafts. Take some selfies fit for a star and make your own hand-prints like a Hollywood legend! Barnyard Discoveries Wednesday, June 5, 2:00-4:00 The farm experience comes to the library! Come visit live animals and then create your barnyard-themed craft. Magic at the Library! Monday, June 10, 10:00 Come be amazed and entertained by our special guest, Magician Joel Shoemaker!

It’s Moving Day for Laura Ingalls Wilder! Monday, June 17, 10:00 Presented by Dunlap Public Library’s director, Laura Keyes-Kaplafka. In this presentation Laura Ingalls Wilder is preparing to move her family from South Dakota to Missouri in the spring of 1894. Learn about the chores she had as a girl and discover what special things she packed for her big move! Peoria Zoomobile Wednesday, June 26, 2:00 Time to get wild as the Peoria Zoo animal ambassadors visit! They will share biofacts and you will get an up close personal view of real animals they bring for a visit.

Youth Services DPL Code Club Monday, June 3 & 17, 5:00 Learn to code in this self-paced program meant for kids aged 8 and older. If you want to learn to build a website, app, or game, this is a great place to start.

Northtrail Park StoryTime Fridays in June, 10:00 Join us for a special outdoor storytime at Northtrail Park, W. Meadowview Drive, Peoria. Books, bubbles, a parachute, and a playground. What’s not to love?!

Toddler Time Every Tuesday in June, 10:00 June 4 Tots & Tunes Let’s get wild as we sing songs and read a book about our barnyard friends! June 11 Totally Untidy Toddlers Who’s in the mood to make sandcastles? We will pull out the moon sand, make sand foam, and have some water play as we celebrate summer. June 18 Tots & Tunes Let’s break out the musical instruments and shake out the wiggles! *June 25 Drive-In Movie Toddlers can decorate their own car out of a cardboard box and then “drive” their creation to a short movie showing. *Registration is required, space is limited.

Mad Science Lab Wednesday, June 12, 10:00 Let’s get creative (and a little bit messy) as we create Super Spy Invisible Ink, Superhero Slime, and a Sugar Scrub fit for a princess.

BINGO Tuesdays in June, 2:00 A Dunlap Public Library favorite! Come in to play and win assorted prizes. Sign & Sing StoryTime with Communication Junction Thursdays in June, 11:15 Communication Junction visits for an interactive storytime designed to engage your child and encourage their love of books. You’ll also learn a few signs to practice together at home! 2

Kids Yoga Thursday, June 13, 10:00 Your child will get an introduction to yoga in this 20-30 minute yoga/ storytime program. Adults are encouraged to participate with their child! Do you like a light and entertaining read? We do too! This month’s cozy book is The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. Our book for the July 3 meeting will be The Child by Fiona Barton.

Become a part of Dunlap Library’s longest running book club! Our title for June will be Educated by Tara Westover. On July 11 we will be discussing Circe by Madeline Miller. 4

Lovers of mysteries and thrillers, both fiction and nonfiction, wanted! Join us as we discuss Weycombe by G.M. Malliet. Next month’s thriller, The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz, will be discussed on July 8.

Join us this month as we discuss Laughing at My Nightmare by Shane Burcaw. On July 16 we will be talking about The Yiddish Policemen’s Union by Michael Cabon.

Walk-n-Talk Book Club Thursday, June 27, 9:45
