15 June 2016 Dear Parents/Carers Inspire Wellfield Awards Evening: Invitations were sent out yesterday for our Awards Evening on Thursday 14 July at 7 p.m. As well as Progress and Effort Awards for each class in every subject, there is also the Headteacher and Assistant Headteachers Awards which are presented for outstanding effort and progress across a range of subjects. Replies are required to confirm if parents and pupils are attending. Spain Trip: Congratulations to all the pupils and staff involved in the Watersports trip to Spain before the half-term. They appear to have had a fantastic time and learned some new skills, as well developing social skills such as getting with others away from their usual comfort zones. Thank you to the staff and parents who supported the trip. Rewards Trip Our end of year Rewards Trip is to Blackpool Pleasure Beach at the end of the summer term, on Thursday 21 July. Pupils will be eligible to go on the Rewards Trip if they have: >90% Attendance for the year. No late marks as from 6 June 2016 In credit with House Points on PARS. No exclusions for the year. No Level 3 behaviours since announcement of trip. Challenge End of Year Exams: A timetable of the End of Year exams is attached. The timetable will allow pupils to prioritise their revision. Traffic Issues – School Lane British Gas have informed us that there will be disruption preventing vehicles travelling to Wellfield from Hough Lane to Yewlands Drive. Traffic will only flow from Yewlands Drive to Hough Lane for 3 weeks. Please allow extra time for journeys so pupils are on time for school. The disruption will then move onto Hough Lane. If there is any further advice received when this takes place I will write and inform parents. Nurture New Year 7 Parents Evening We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 pupils and their parents to our Welcome Evening on Tuesday 21 June at 7 p.m. Summer Uniform: During the warmer weather we may decide that pupils can wear a summer uniform which means they will not be required to wear their blazer or tie. This decision is made on a daily basis and pupils must bring these items to school in case the decision is changed by the school.
