As we look forward to the year ahead, we pray for the workers, trustees and users of The Hope Centre in Minehead. Let us give thanks for all the support that is given to those who are homeless, have problems with drugs or alcohol and are lonely or disadvantaged in any way.

Please pray for the Revd Colin Burke and all those who support him in the benefice of Oare with Culbone.
Tues 3
As the new term begins, please pray for the schools and colleges in the Exmoor Deanery. In particular for the Exmoor Coast Federations Schools, for the schools that are part of the West Somerset Academies Trust, those considering joining an academy trust and those that are part of the Bridgwater Trust.

Lord bless the World Mission Adviser and Chair of Zambia Group as they fly to Zambia to celebrate the opening of new Zambian Anglican council offices. We pray for a fruitful outcome as they meet with the five bishops to plan the celebrations of our link with Zambia in 2018.

We pray that the successful fairs, fetes and gymkhanas held in Dulverton, Brompton Regis and Brushford might continue in to the future, and that more members of our communities will come forward to help.

Please pray for vocations in the benefice of Dulverton with Brushford, Brompton Regis, Upton and Skilgate, for those discerning vocations to licensed ministries, and those discerning other paths.

Please pray for Revd Bill Lemmey and Revd Stephen Humphreys, along with the Readers and officers who support them in the benefice of Porlock and Porlock Weir with Stoke Pero, Selworthy and Luccombe.

We give thanks to Christine for her leadership at the West Somerset Foodbank as she steps down and pray for a smooth transition to new leadership. May the new leader to be equipped for the task and remember that 'to a hungry person the gospel can only come as bread.'

Lord, please bless the gathering of questioning people who meet for Room for Doubt in Roadwater to explore the deeper issues of life together over a drink and nibbles.

We pray for the new Families@ 4 service in the Parish of Minehead. As they reach out to extend a welcome to the community, may families come and enjoy the warmth of your love.

We pray for the community at Upton, that the church might continue to be a worshipping presence in the community long into the future.

Please pray for the many volunteers at the West Somerset Railway who, by their diligent hard work, shine a light on our past and bring joy to young and old.

Lord, on this Homelessness Sunday help us to give thanks for all that you provide. Please bless all those without the comfort of a home of their own and those who offer them love and support.

Please pray for Archbishop Albert and the Anglican community of Northern Zambia as they seek to respond with God’s love and compassion to the needs of the refugees coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo and seek ways to integrate existing refuges from Angola and Rwanda.

Pray for all head teachers as they gather today and tomorrow. Also, for the work of the Diocesan Education Department supporting school governors and trustees as they make challenging decisions about the future of schools considering academy status and working in new and different ways.

Lord, on this Holocaust Memorial Day let us pray for Revd Donald Reeves and his work supporting those in post-conflict situations, as he speaks about his international peace work in the Balkans in Minehead today.

Please pray for all those who attend the new Morning Prayers service at Old Cleeve on Tuesday mornings.

Please pray for the ties between St Bartholomew Rodhuish and St Nicholas Withycombe in Dunster benefice as work is done to make them stronger. Also for the benefice’s bible study course on Ephesians starting in January and for the outreach work at St John the Baptist in the year ahead.
