$35 (includes continental breakfast and lunch) All Pastoral Associates rely on the rich resource of volunteers to accomplish their ministry, yet recruiting and sustaining volunteers is often a difficult part of parish ministry. This training day will provide many ideas to help you discover the treasure of volunteers within your parish, learn how to invite them in ways that will more likely lead to “yes,” and help them grow as ministers and take leadership within your parish.
Recognize the current structure of your ministry and learn ways to broaden leadership
to open it up to more volunteer ministers. Envision a system for volunteer management that works within your ministry structure. Enhance current recruiting methods. Explore new ways of mentoring and training volunteer ministers. Presenter: Ann Marie Eckert Ann Marie is the Pastoral Associate at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Ithaca, NY, a position she has held for the past three years and loves. Previously, she worked for the Center for Ministry Development, serving as a Coordinator for Youth Ministry Services, specializing in leadership development of youth and adults. She has also worked for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the Diocese of Buffalo in their youth ministry offices. Ann Marie holds a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Christ the King Seminary in Buffalo, NY and is the recipient of the National Youth Ministry Award in the Trainer category from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry.
