Thank you for your interest in Impresssions.
Unlike many other software companies, Impressions was not created just to make money. Impressions was set up by agroup ofcommitted game players, as a hobby. Like so manypeople, years ago we were all dis.appointed by so many of the games that we had bought, that we thought we could do better. I had spent years as a game reviewer, and my fellow founders include game designers, programmers and graphic artists. As you can probablyguess -we did have ago, and have been growing rapidly ever since. ImpressiollS ceased to be a hobby some years ago now -but the philosophy behind us has not changed: we want to have fun, and to create games which you will enjoy. Jt may seem dumb to s.ay that we aim to put the fun back into computergames -but that is exactly what we aim to do. So many games still lack that essential ingredient -we hope to put it back! We also specialise in one type ofgame -strategy games. Strategy games used to be dull-looking affairs with little or no sound, terrible graphics, and veiy complex control systems. We have tried to change thar -with exciting graphics and sound effects, stirring soundtracks, simple to use control systems - and often real time gameplay! We also tiy to keep up with the latest technology, using it when it adds to our games, not just for the sake of it. I hope that you like our aims -and our games. Ifnot please tell us. You are the Air Force Commander in this strategy simulation ofair warfare. You must deploy your sqaudrons at the right base, then give each squadron combat mis.sions -setting up defensive partols of yotir bases and cities, and mis.sions to take out the enemy's offensive capability. As well as Falcons, Tomados and other planes, you also have attack helicopters and mis.siles (offensive and defensive) at your disposal. Your objective - air supremacy. Air Force Commander is a great, new type of simulation -but Air Force Commander is far more than just a game; it is an
expandable system - and is supplied with a Middle F.ast War Module - with 28 scenarios including the Persian Gulf War, the Iran/Iraq War, and the 1973 Yorn Kippur War. A second War Module covering World War 2 will be available seperately.
