Santa Rosa CityBus provides fixed-route service within Santa Rosa city limits and the Roseland area. The CityBus route structure is designed around a timed-transfer method of providing service. Buses serving different routes arrive and depart (pulse) at the downtown Transit Mall and other designated transfer locations at routine, periodic intervals.

Youth ages 5-18 receive a 50% discount off the adult cash fare. Children age 4 and under ride free when accompanied by an adult (limit of two children per farepaying adult) on all routes. Seniors (age 65+) with a valid Medicare Card, DMV ID card/license, RTC Discount Card, OR senior ID card from another California transit service receive 50% off the adult fare. Persons with disabilities with DMV disabled placard ID, RTC card (with or without Clipper), Medicare Card, or ID card for persons with disabilities from another transit service, receive 50% off the adult cash fare. Personal service assistants are eligible for 50% off the adult cash fare only when accompanying a person with disabilities who has an attendant logo on his/her RTC Discount Card.

511 provides free, up-to-the-minute departure times for the transit agencies to the left that have this symbol. Other Bay Area transit agencies will be added in the future. To find out when your next bus or train will depart, check nearby displays or simply call 511 and say “Departure Times.” You’ll then be asked to enter your Stop ID number. If you don’t know it, you can say your agency name, and the system will prompt you to enter your route and stop. 511 will respond with departure times for your route and will also include the Stop ID for future use. You may also look up your stop’s ID online at 511.org.

GGT bus fares may be purchased on board. Change will be given on a transit card, valid for future GGT travel. Inform the bus driver of your destination as you board.
