Wisdom From Clarence Thomas Have you read “A Conversation with Justice Clarence Thomas”? This Imprimis interview was inspiring from start to finish. Justice Thomas said when he was young people “didn’t simply talk about rights and freedom. They talked more about the responsibilities that came with freedom – about the fact that if you were to have freedom, you had to be responsible for it.” He said, “Too many conversations today have to do with rights and wants. There is not enough talk about responsibilities and duties.” He also said, “I never set out to be unpopular, but popularity isn’t of high value to me. I set out to do my best to be right.” Let’s find and make more leaders in the Thomas mold. “A Conversation with Justice Clarence Thomas,” Imprimis, October 2007.
