Bureaucrats Feel Unloved Dr. Farzad Mostashari, former National Coordinator for Health IT talks frankly to a reporter online. He said that when the government shut down happened in October 2013, he realized that the American people “didn’t care.” He said, “The American people are not appreciating the government” and he call that statement “an understatement.” Dr. Mostashari left his position in the midst of the shutdown. He claims that the government is filled with people who love their country and work hard at great personal sacrifice. But he said when the government shut down happened, he realized that “the country doesn’t love you back.” This former bureaucrat is surprised that Americans don’t love bureaucrats. Are you? “Farzad Mostashari on how government really works,” Pulse Check (audio), May 5, 2016.
