Citizens’ Council on Health Care
Health Freedom Minute May 18, 2010
Minnesota Gets ObamaCare Welcome to the Health Freedom Minute. This is Twila Brase president of Citizensʼ Council on Health Care. Part of ObamaCare was passed by the Minnesota legislature yesterday. Rather than saying no like other states, they said yes. If the Governor signs it, ObamaCareʼs Medicaid expansion becomes law in Minnesota. A government-established bureaucracy will sell health insurance. An ObamaCare implementation taskforce will get $200,000. And several federal health care rationing initiatives will become law. In total, 37 Republicans voted against the bill, but 26 Republicans voted FOR it. Only nine DFLers said no, probably because it wasnʼt single-payer. If you want a list of who voted how, go to healthfreedomminute.net, look for the microphone on the right side. Click it and use the feedback option. Thatʼs healthfreedomminute.net
The Health Freedom Minute is heard weekdays in Minnesota on WWTC AM1280 The Patriot
