Health Freedom Minute March 31, 2015

Obamacare Slows Public Access To Public Data Obamacare hurts transparency. Federal officials claim the workload, staff shortages and technology limits of Obamacare have led to “unusually long delays in filling public records requests” – waits that could extend more than a decade into the future. But then the whole world could have changed and two presidential elections will be over. The Freedom of Information Act requires federal officials to respond in 20 days, but the Medicare Administration says it has a backlog of 3,000 requests. The agency only has 19 employees to handle these inquiries. Perhaps the $300 million dollars they sent to the now defunct Oregon exchange should have been used to hire more people to keep government transparent. “Feds claim Obamacare taking a toll on government transparency,” Fred Schulte, Center for Public Integrity, March 24, 2015.

Presented daily by Twila Brase, President, Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom. The Health Freedom Minute is now heard in 40 states: Mornings M-Th at AM1280 (The Patriot) in MN and 91.5 AM WHKC (FreedomFM) in OH, afternoons on American Family Radio, and daily on the Bott Radio Network.
