Obamacare Repeal #1 Welcome to the Health Freedom Minute. This is Twila Brase, president of Citizensʼ Council for Health Freedom. Last week, the repeal of Obamacare began. The U.S. Senate voted 81 to 17 to repeal the 1099 provision of Obamacare. This provision would require businesses to fill out a tax form every time they spend $600 or more at any particular business during the year. Buy $600 of gas at one station? Fill out a form. Mail it to the gas station and the IRS. The House has not yet passed the repeal, but itʼs coming. President Obama dinged the 1099 in his State of the Union address. The provision got no scrutiny before the law passed. Then the National Taxpayer Advocate at the IRS announced that it would be a disaster to business. Folks, weʼre just getting started with Obamacare disasters. More repeals to come.
