Health Freedom Minute November 17, 2015

Obamacare Exchanges Wide Open to Fraud Last year, 11 out of 12 fake applications made by federal investigators were approved by the Obamacare exchanges. This year, federal investigators said it was still a breeze to work the system to get coverage and subsidies, even with fake social security numbers that start with zeros. With your tax dollars at stake, hereʼs a scary statement from the head auditor about Medicare and Social Security. He told Congress, “None of the massive social-benefit programs currently in existence have even a remotely effective back-end capability to detect and claw back fraudulent money.” Maybe this isnʼt a surprise, but itʼs shocking to actually hear it.

“Fictitious Exchange Applicants Encounter Few Hurdles in Gaining Coverage, Subsidies,” Inside Health Insurance Exchanges, Vol. 5, No. 11, November 2015.
