Memorial Hospital Commissioners (Formerly HF 2082) House File 2231 changes the residency requirements to serve as a commissioner on a veterans memorial hospital board. Current statute requires commissioners to reside in the same county that the hospital is located in. To address communities where a hospital resides on the border of a county, the bill changes the requirements to living within the state and residing in the service area of the hospital.
