In the survey, responders were asked to provide written comments if they had anything to add relative to Future Town Needs. The Council will review these comments and the scores as we make decisions about future town needs .
Comments – Hand-Rails: Up and Over and Down the Dune: TOTAL: 18 Comments/860 Returns (2%) After each completed survey was returned to the Town, each completed survey was given a number for record keeping purposes. The number before each comment represents that number.
282- Handrails will be a big help for those with arthritis. 5-Handrails & Mobi-mat projects should be tied together. No reason for mats to help get to the dune if handrails are not on the dunes. 38- Is this in addition to A1? Supplementing? How Many? 56- Handicapped access with improvements should be limited to one location. 116- When money is available-not increase taxes. 141- Under beach walkways, I have circled two lines. As a senior citizen I find it very hard to get to the beach. For the past several years I’ve gone only 1 or 2 times. I and others need better access. An improved approach is especially needed at the south end of town. 50- A-2 or nothing. 145- Handrails would help. 149- Handrails on 3rd Street crossing only. 166- Is there a safety issue? 168- Railings would help on one side for elderly for balance when carrying; one side and not all crossings.

184- If someone needs a handrail on the dunes, what will they do once they get to the sound? 194- Too expensive. Limit to 3 or 4 spread out. 208- Make available on some streets. 399- Hand-rails to beach. 531- Not on every crossing. 613- Just do a few. 662- Use PVC pipes. 743- Handicap rails in place already if people need them.
