Getting Started with AutoCAD

Description This course is designed as an introduction to AutoCAD software. Our training philosophy is to use the simplest, clearest examples that will achieve the goals of explaining new concepts and features. The focus of this training is not on designing and understanding complex parts, but on learning core AutoCAD tools and concepts.

Delivery Mode Traditional Instructor-led Group Training 2 consecutive days (09:00 - 16:30)

Courseware A Training Guide is provided as a Reference Resource at the conclusion of the course.

Certification A “Certificate of Attendance” will be issued on completion of the course.

Course Objectives On completion of this course students will have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of commands and concepts that develop the skills necessary to be able to: • • • • •

Navigate the AutoCAD workspace and user interface Use basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools Organize drawing objects on layers Add text and dimensions to a drawing Prepare a layout to be plotted

Who Should Attend & Prerequisites This course is designed for persons wanting a general understanding of AutoCAD. No previous CAD experience is required, but students are expected to have: • •
