Dear All, Re: FIVB Level 2 Coaching Course (18-30th August 2014) Volleyball England is pleased to announce that the FIVB Level II Coaching Course will take place on 18th – 30th August 2014 at FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre – Kettering (ENG). Price: £1,450 Duration: 13 days (Including London Visit) Application deadline: 20th May 2014 Location: FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre – Kettering (ENG) Lodging: Holiday Inn Express, Kettering About the Course FIVB coaching courses aim to improve the knowledge and competence of coaches and teachers, present the most recent trends of the modern game of Volleyball and establish a unified system for training coaches. The FIVB Level 2 Coaching course involves specifically the coaching of advanced level teams. The course is carried out over a 13 day period which includes one rest day. The assessment method involves written, practical and oral exams. The course content is shown below:

Location The course will take place in the FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre – Kettering (ENG). This facility is centred around Kettering Conference Centre's main sports arena. The centre provides top class sports facilities for International athletes and both international and domestic competitions. The main arena has four volleyball courts and offers a wide range of additional facilities. There are a number of dining/bar areas situated around the complex. The venue also has an on site gym and swimming pool available for public usage.

Accommodation Accommodation will be provided by our partner Holiday Inn Express, a modern hotel set in landscaped gardens. Conditions of entry: In order to apply for the FIVB Level 2 Coaching Course participants must: • • • • • •

Be recommended by their National Federation, which guarantees that the candidate has experience and is at the peak of his/her career Speak the working language (English) Actively participate on the whole course program, including classes and ceremonies Have spent a probation period of at least two years since the last course Have confirmation from the National Federation to confirm you are active and successfully coaching or teaching Present a copy of their certificates obtained at the FIVB Level 1 course* or of their physical education diploma** from a university or comparable institute, together with the application letter Present a digital picture to put on the inscription form Present a Health Certificate from a doctor stating that he/she is in good physical condition and can participate in physical activities including practicing coaching skills on the court

*Participants without the FIVB Level I certificate must present a document certifying that they have national coaching qualification of a corresponding level that can be recognized by the FIVB, provided that the National Federation gives its recommendation and that the degree was obtained no more than five years prior to the start of the course. **Candidates who have graduated from a sport institute as a P.E. teacher with Volleyball specialization are also accepted provided that the diploma was obtained no more than seven years prior to the start of the course. They must present their diploma to the organizer, together with their application (in case of doubt, the FIVB Technical Department will decide). All participants must submit payment along with the FIVB Course enrolment form (which is attached). The total cost of the FIVB Level 2 Coaching course is: £1,450, which can be made payable by Bank Transfer. The application deadline date is the 20th May 2014.
