It snowed, the kids are out of school, and you can't get to work. Make the most of it by bundling up the family for play in the snow. You can burn anywhere from 200 to 400 calories an hour with this family fitness activity, depending on how high you build your snowmen. Some more snow activities to try: Build a fort, have an old-fashioned snowball fight, and make snow angels. Playing in the show is certainly more fun than shoveling it, but you can torch 200 to 300 calories for every 30 minutes you spend clearing your driveway.

Green Park Did
• In 1843 the early settlers set aside as a village “Green” one and six-tenths acres of ground now known as Columbian Park, still referred to by residents as“The Green.” • “The Green” is older by fourteen years than famous Central Park in New York City. • In the 1890’s, the Neenah Park Board was paid for hay harvested from the Public Square. • From 1900 to 1929 it was the Neenah High School football field. • In 1921 two tennis courts were built for $250. • In 1933, it contained two softball diamonds, ice rink in the center was flooded during the winter, a sandbox and play apparatus, two tennis courts, horseshoes, and a shelter with bathrooms and for a warming room for skaters in the winter. • Facilities and equipment have been updated, over the 170 years. However, not much has changed in the park. It currently has two tennis courts, a softball field, open space in the center, which is flooded as a ice rink during the winter, a playground, and a shelter. • Green Park is used by Trinity Lutheran School for numerous outdoor activities and is home to various parks and recreation programs. • The shelter is available as a public rental facility, except December – Mid February as it is used as an ice rink shelter.
