MID CENTRAL GOVERNING BOARD MEETING Minutes Of The Mid Central Educational Cooperative Special Meeting The Mid-Central Educational Cooperative’s Governing Board met for special session at the Mid-Central Coop in Platte, SD on Thursday, February 4, 2016, with Chairman Pam Haukaas calling the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. with the following members present: Board Members: Tina Westendorf (Armour), Brandon York (Burke), Pam Haukaas (Colome), Nicole Bamberg (Corsica-Stickney), Tim Neugebauer (Ethan), Sharon Pederson (Gregory), Ryan Youngstrom (Mt Vernon), Cassie Schmidt (Plankinton), Tammie Olson (Platte-Geddes), Tonya Aldrich (Wessington Springs), Dale Peters (White Lake). Superintendents: Armour, Burke, Corsica-Stickney, Colome, Ethan, Gregory, Kimball, Mt Vernon, Plankinton, PlatteGeddes, Wessington Springs, White Lake, Wolsey-Wessington. Others Present: Dan Guericke (Mid Central), Catrina Brown (Mid Central), Christy Finney (Mid Central), Scott Swier (Swier Law Firm), Amanda Bechen (Bechen & Co) Approve Agenda: Motion by Platte-Geddes and seconded by Mt. Vernon to approve the agenda. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Executive Session as per SDCL 1-25-2 (1) & (3) Motion by Wolsey-Wessington and seconded by Burke to enter into Executive Session as per SDCL 1-25-2 (1) & (3) at 10:16 a.m. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Chairman Haukaas declared an end to Executive Session at 12:15 p.m. a. Actions as Appropriate: Motion by Plankinton and seconded by Corsica Stickney to accept the resignation of Brinda Kuhn effective December 1, 2015. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Motion by Plankinton and seconded by Mt. Vernon to accept the resignation of Stephanie Hubers effective January 31, 2016. The board would like to thank Stephanie Hubers for her years of service to the Mid Central Educational Cooperative. Motion carried with all members present voting aye Motion by Mt. Vernon and seconded by Wessington Springs to appoint Catrina Brown as Interim Business Manager. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Motion by Corsica Stickney and seconded by Gregory to approve the contract for Stephanie Huber’s to help with business manager services at the rate of $25 per hour. Motion carried with all members voting aye. Adjourn: Motion by Mt. Vernon and seconded by Wessington Springs to adjourn. Motion carried with all members present voting aye.
