The Coalition does not hold a GSA contract. Our membership is also responsible for about half of the commercial item solutions purchased annually by the Federal Government. Coalition members include small, medium and large business concerns located throughout the country and provide a significant number of jobs in the U.S. economy. The Coalition is the only association of its type with a membership spanning a broad cross section of service and commodity types.

The audience will consist primarily of member companies of the Coalition for Government procurement. Collectively these companies are significant stakeholders in government wide acquisition programs. With the curtailment of industry days and other government conferences, the Coalition believes that it is critical to provide alternative platforms for effective communication between the government and its industry stakeholders. Open and transparent communication is more important than ever in the current environment of budget austerity. The Fall Training Conference facilitates an information exchange between industry and key touch points affecting federal acquisition, i.e. acquisition executive leadership, the chief financial officer community, procurement operations, cyber security and the Hill. The Fall Training Conference Myth-Busters dialogue provides an opportunity to engage with GSA’s private sector partners focusing on improving contracting outcomes, increasing competition, and delivering best value for customer agencies.

B. The conference gives government shared services organizations a unique opportunity to interact with its customer agencies and the contractors that support them as several major agencies including DoD, OMB, GSA and DHS are expected to participate. C. The conference is an excellent way to acknowledge military veterans, federal employees, government contractors that do an outstanding job supporting the critical missions of government. On the first evening of the training conference, the Coalition will recognize the Excellence in Partnership (EIP) awards.
