APPLICATION PROCESS In order for students to register during regular registration, admission applications MUST be submitted to the Registrar’s Office on or before 4:30 PM, Friday, July 6, 2016. All credentials (final official high school transcripts, college transcripts, and ACT or SAT scores) for fall applicants must be in the Registrar’s Office by Monday, July 30, 2016, to be reviewed for fall admission. Any student who submits an application after the stated deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis only. If a late application is accepted, the applicant may have to register late and pay a non-refundable late registration fee of $60.00. INSTALLMENT POLICY Students who do not pay all fees in full by the last day of fee payment will be automatically assigned an installment plan and charged a non-refundable fee of $85.00. Students are subject to a $45.00 late payment fee for any missed installment payment. BOOKS Books for Northwestern State University can be ordered online at www.nsula.edu. If the student has financial aid available, books can be billed to their student aid through this website. Otherwise, the student must pay by debit or credit card. TEXTBOOK RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SELECTIVE TITLES. For further information, please contact Barnes and Noble at (318) 357-4473. IDENTIFICATION CARDS Students taking classes in Alexandria may apply for a NSU Distance Learner ID card during the registration/fee payment process. Your application will then be forwarded to Auxiliary Services in Natchitoches and the card will be mailed to you. The distance learning ID card is a non-photo ID card that must be accompanied by another form of identification in order for it to be valid at locations around campus such as the library and athletic events. IMMUNIZATION POLICY In an effort to protect the students, faculty, and staff of all Louisiana schools, the Louisiana Legislature passed a law requiring students to be immunized against preventable and/or communicable diseases including Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and TetanusDiphtheria (MMR-TD). In compliance, NSU requires that all new students born after December 31, 1956 provide proof of immunization against MMR and TD. Future registrations will be blocked if the student fails to provide the requested information.

Dropped Classes will not be refunded or credited to Student’s account.
