Friends of a Public Library Marshall Public Library Minutes of the Meeting of the Friends Executive Committee: September 11, 2015 1. The Executive Committee of the Friends of a Public Library met at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2015, in the Board Room of the Marshall Public Library, to conduct a special called meeting of the Executive Committee in accordance with Article V, Section 4, of the Friends Constitution. a. Officers present: Steve Flohr, President, Ginny Harris, Treasurer, and Sandra Lynch, Secretary. Steve Flohr presided over the meeting and called the meeting to order at 4:05pm. b. The purpose of the meeting was to review the preparations for the next Library Board of Directors meeting on Monday, October 5, 2015; Friends Book Event beginning October 9, 2015; upcoming membership drive; and to conduct other business applicable to the Executive Committee. 2. Minutes a. Discussed membership list b. Discussed prospective list of members and prospective advertisement c. Ginny Harris will present plan for advertisement and flyer at the next board meeting d. Steve Flohr will email the Board of Directors regarding the agenda for the upcoming meeting. e. Prospective Board of Directors member, Nancy Head – motion by Ginny Harris to accept; Steve Flohr seconded motion; unanimous vote to accept Nancy Head on BOD f. Discussed book event g. Reviewed minutes from July 17, 2015 and August 3, 2015. Motion by Ginny Harris to accept; Steve Flohr seconded motion; unanimous vote to accept minutes. 3.
