Collection Description UBC Undergraduate Student Examination Collection / UBC Library (collector). – 1909-2016, 1970-2004. 21.8 m of textual records. Historical Sketch Student examinations provide useful insights into changing pedagogy at the University. They reflect changes in teaching practices and within the fields of study themselves. These examinations have been assembled from variety of sources including the Registrar's Office and UBC Student Services-Counselling Services. Scope and Content The collection consists of copies of Christmas and April examinations arranged by year then alphabetically by course. Notes Fonds consists of institutional records – access requests must be reviewed by the University's FOIPOP Coordinator. For copies of examinations prior to 1970 see the Registrar's Office. In 1993 copies of student examinations from 1915 to 1969 were microfilmed and the originals destroyed. The microfilm copies are available on 94 reels in the Microform section of the Koerner Library (AW 1.R7655). Bound copies of McGill examination papers (1909, 1910, 1914), UBC Sessional Examination Papers (1915-16), and UBC Matriculation examinations (June 1916), were acquired from various sources and added in April 2018.
