Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Continuing (i.e. permanent) position
What You Will Do In this role you will provide professional and administrative leadership of the Psychology Clinic, and be responsible (under the direction of the Head of Department and the Director of Clinical Training) for the ongoing development of the Clinic as a professional training and research centre, including coordination of clinic staff and trainees, development of clinic policies, practice guidelines and methods of service delivery, liaison with community agencies to ensure a flow of client referrals, and to provide clinic-based teaching and supervision of clinical psychology students. In addition you will cooperate with Department academic staff and students to facilitate research in the Clinic. An ability to work in a way that is biculturally competent as well as having an understanding and knowledge of tikanga and te reo Māori will be an advantage. Who You Are Candidates will have a Master's Degree (NZQA Level 9), a Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and be a Registered Psychologist in the Clinical Scope in New Zealand. You will have post-registration experience working as a Clinical Psychologist, working with trainee clinical psychologists in a supervisory capacity, supervising other clinical psychologists. You have established relationships in the community to help recruit and develop a client base, or have experience in developing relationships with service providers/employers. You have had experience with University-level teaching.
