Distinguished Alumni Nomination for Graduates of Great Accomplishments Form West Vigo High School is accepting nominations for induction as a "Distinguished Alumni". The Distinguished Alumni award is presented annually to a maximum of three inductees. The nominee must have graduated 25 years prior to being nominated. Nominees must be alumni whose accomplishment(s) have brought distinction to honor our school. The nominee should have attained excellence through professional achievement, public service, artistic expression, scientific discovery/innovation and/or made a significant accomplishment in life. Nominations and letters of support should be submitted to West Vigo High School in care of Distinguished Alumni Selection Committee no later than March 13, 2015. Selected awardees will be recognized at our annual Academic Banquet on April 27, 2015 and profiled in our “Viking Juke Box” section of our library. All of the information below must be supplied for nomination to be considered complete.

Name of Award West Vigo High School Distinguished Alumni
Purpose West Vigo High School Distinguished Alumni Award is awarded annually to those persons associated with West Vigo High School as alumni whose accomplishments have brought distinction and honor to West Vigo High School and who serve as role models for young people.
Criteria 1. Association with West Vigo High School – It shall be required that those eligible for this award to have been alumni of West Vigo High School shall be eligible for the award. 2. Accomplishments – Selection as a Distinguished Alumni shall be for those persons who have attained excellence in one or more of the following areas: a. Professional Achievement; b. Public Service: c. Artistic Expression; d. Scientific Discovery or Innovation e. Other Significant Contribution (s) 3. Selection – the honorees shall not exceed three (3) persons per year. 4. Award Recognition will be held in conjunction with the annual Academic Banquet. A profile of awardees will be placed in the “Viking Juke Box”, located in the school’s library.
