A Young Person’s World – Keeping Your Child Safe Online Tuesday 6 December 2016 5.30- 6.15pm I would like to invite you to a session on online safety and risks around Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), which is taking place in the school theatre on Tuesday 6 December, 5.30 p.m. – 6.15 p.m. This event will last approximately 45 minutes and forms part of Wellfield’s commitment to fully inform parents and carers about e-safety. The purpose of the event is to give you up to date information about risks and practical advice on how to keep your child safe. I thought with Christmas approaching and the dark nights setting in this is an ideal time to hold the event considering a number of our young people will be receiving digital goods for Christmas. Finally, there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions. This is an information evening for parents/carers only and therefore pupils should not attend. Please confirm if you would like to attend by returning the attached slip to the school office, by Thursday 24th November or by emailing
[email protected] confirming numbers attending. Parents and carers are reminded that there is an e-safety advice section on our website via the parent tab.
