At certain age, woman starts declining in producing healthy eggs for fertilization and increasing age also slow down the releasing hormone that supports implantation. In addition at certain age woman's body starts treating pregnancy as burden or are unable to carry it to its full term. It is very rare that implantation would be wrong at least when the treatment is carried out under experienced specialist at the best fertility center. Problems with uterus also hamper the IVF success. Sometimes uterus does not adopt the embryos and thus reject it, causes IVF failure or sometimes it may attack and destroy an embryo that has been transferred into it. Doctors may perform blood tests to identify the antibodies and cells that might be the cause of failed IVF cycle. Even when everything is planned and goes well from ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer, the fact is that some percentage of woman's body does not allow to conceive or will not see a positive pregnancy test. The procedure has been improved tremendously since the technique was initially introduced, but is still not perfect for everyone, especially for women with premature ovarian aging.
