Leading Silicon Valley companies who have been successful in their transformations attribute their success to adopting DevOps patterns, which encourages aligning engineering teams and and breaking down cross-functional silos. This presentation argues that the most successful digital transformation is often emergent behavior, that is driven most frequently by technology and platform choices. We will illustrate how making subtle technological and architectural choices will enable the collaboration and sharing necessary for accelerating transformation. The frameworks presented are based on lessons from Datadog’s diverse customer of leading “cloud native” organizations and Fortune 500 enterprises who have transitioned to cloud infrastructure.
