1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor David Reid called the Council Meeting to order at 5:30p.m. and welcomed those present. 2. ROLL CALL The Town Clerk called the roll, with all Members of Council being present except for Councillor Lyle Anderson . 3. ADOPTION OF AGENDA (Additions/Deletions) Resolution No. 146-13 Moved by Lynn Grinstead Seconded by Mark Willmar BE IT RESOLVED THAT the agenda for the Special Meeting of Council dated Thursday, April 4, 2013 be adopted. April 4, 2013 Mayor David Reid gave some background on the naming of streets in the Town of Arnprior, indicating that the Town began a street naming initiative in June 2007 to honour our local Veterans. The Veteran names are compiled by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 174, vetted through the County of Renfrew 911 addressing system and then approved by Council. Mayor Reid noted that these Veterans are individuals who have served our community and country. Through the naming of a street, in honour of these individuals, the Town hopes to promote public awareness of these men and women , and show our appreciation for their outstanding contributions. The first four streets were named after our Veterans in 2009 (Vince Evans, Moe Robillard, Allan Bond, Bev Shaw). These signs, along with the ones presented today, bear a poppy, signifying the ultimate sign of remembrance. Mayor Reid recognized each Veteran individually, and presented certificates of recognition in honour of: •

Mayor Reid stated on behalf of Council, staff, and members of the public, the Town of Arnprior is proud to officially name a Municipal Street in the honour of these individuals. 6. CONFIRMATORY BY-LAW Resolution No. 147-13 Moved by Ted Strike Seconded by Walter Stack THAT By-law No. 6205-13 being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Meeting of Council held on April4, 2013 and it is hereby enacted and passed.
