Conference Target 2017: Innovating now for our future, Western Australia April 19-21 2017 Geoconferences (WA) Inc. will organise the Conference – Target 2017: Innovating now for future at UniClub, University of Western Australia from April 19 -21, 2017 in Perth, Western Austalia. There will be two workshops on 18th and three workshops on 22nd. The theme of the Conference includes Future gazing – contributing to future generations, New frontiers in space and time, Scale of targeting, Mineral systems analysis, Thinking and targeting on the lithospheric scale, District scale targeting, Prospect scale targeting, Computational modelling and The business cse for greenfields discoveries. The Workshops will be on i) Inverse geophysical methods of determining cover-thickness using: magnetics, magnetotellurics, passive seismic and airborne EM datasets – Geoscience Australia, ii) Fusing geochemistry and structural geology for best practice exploration and mining – Nick Oliver (HCOVGlobal) iii) QGIS (free open-source GIS programme) – Grant Boxer iv) Structural interpretation of gravity, aeromagnetic and seismic tomographic data at the prospect to lithospheric scale: applications to Au, REE, chromite-PGE and diamond exploration – Prof. Lyal Harris, INRS-ETE, Canada v) Uncertainty in 3D modelling and inversion – Centre for Exploration Targetting – University of Western Australia.
