HTA in national and cross-border healthcare in Europe Gdańsk, Poland, 8-9 December 2011 Welcome to the EUnetHTA Conference 2011 The conference Health Technology Assessment in national and cross-border healthcare in Europe is organised within the framework of the EUnetHTA Joint Action (2010-2012) by the Agency for Health Technology Assessment, AHTAPol, Poland and Health Care Insurance Board, CVZ, Netherlands with the support of the EUnetHTA Secretariat. The main focus of the conference will be on the current achievements of the EUnetHTA Joint Action (2010-2012). The Conference will provide ample of opportunities for a debate on the current and future role of the European HTA collaboration in policy-making on national and cross-boarder healthcare. Representatives from EUnetHTA organisations, national Ministries of Health and industry, patients and health insurance stakeholder organisations will participate. Preliminary program Results of EUnetHTA Joint Action (2010-2012) • Further development of the core HTA model, development of the POP database • Relative effectiveness assessment (REA) of pharmaceuticals, development of European guidelines EUnetHTA Joint Action 2 and the EUnetHTA longterm strategy • HTA capacity building and facilitation of national strategies for HTA sustainability • Vision on international HTA collaboration now and in the future including a roundtable with stakeholders • The view of the European commission on the results of the EUnetHTA JA and ideas on how to use international (rapid) assessments in the future • Possible role of European collaborative assessments in national reimbursement processes Gala dinner is organised at the Gdańsk Shipyard on December 8.
