Conference on Oregon Government Friday, December 7, 2012,* 8:00am – 4:00pm State Capitol Building, 900 Court Street NE, Salem

This conference is for teachers of every discipline. Get an insider’s view of government - sit in the Senate Chambers, go to workshops in hearing rooms, and see the historic Supreme Court Courtroom. Learn more about your government from the folks we put in office. Join us for this remarkable opportunity and to return to school knowing more about the Attorney General - directly from Ellen Rosenblum, Oregon Attorney General; education policy - directly from Ben Cannon, Education Policy Advisor to the Governor; elections - directly from Kate Brown, Secretary of State; Oregon courts and cases - directly from Tom Balmer, Chief Justice Oregon Supreme Court; the legislature - directly from Co-Speaker Arnie Roblan; plus keynote from Dr. Doris McEwen, Oregon Education Investment Board. You will also receive an armload of lessons, materials, and ideas that can be put right to work in classrooms! Conference Costs (deadline Fri., Nov. 23) Bring a colleague from your building and CLP will pay for one sub when your district pays for the other. Or, if no sub is needed, registration fee is $25 (half price) for each teacher. LIMITED NUMBER.
