Cost and Payment: $275 for .5 units and $550 for 1.0 unit. Payment by Credit card, electronic check (EFT) or Money Order made payable to the Cobb County School District. NO cash or checks will be accepted. Classes Begin: Shortly after students register they will receive the "Welcome to CVA" email with login and orientation information so that they may begin work. Help Sessions: CVA face to face Help Sessions will be held every Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 AM until 5 PM and on Thursdays from 10 AM until 2 PM at the CVA Learning Lab located on the Oakwood Campus at 1560 Joyner Ave., Marietta, GA in Room 104. CVA help sessions provide students with content specific assistance, Blackboard functions such as submitting assignments, and with the use of Polar Watch equipment (Personal Fitness students). Final Exams/EOCTs: Final Exams open on Monday, July 8 th at 8:00 a.m. and close on Tuesday, July 9th at 8:00 p.m. End of Course Tests will be administered on Tuesday, July 9th at 10:00 A.m. Students MUST be available during the testing period for their final exam/EOCT. The EOCT MUST be administered in a face-to-face, proctored setting. There are no make-up opportunities. Check the website at www.cobbvirtualacademy.org for the Course Catalog, updates regarding late registration, Pre-Fitness testing, Help Sessions, Final Exam and EOCT date, time and location. Please note: The availability of courses is based on registration. Minimum enrollment is required and courses will close as maximum enrollment is reached.

GAVS WILL NOT be offering any A segments of a course (ex. Physics A or World History A). Students and parents need to be reminded of the following: The Georgia Virtual School operates out of the Georgia Department of Education and students must abide by all policies and procedures of the program. GAVS students eligible to graduate Summer Term may not participate in the CCSD Summer Term Graduation Ceremony. GAVS Final Grade Reports will not be released before July 18th. All final grades will be posted to the student transcript by the local school, averaged into the student’s GPA, and cannot be removed. The Georgia Virtual School does not offer Grade Repair opportunities nor can a local CCSD school offer Grade Repair or Credit Recovery opportunities for a GAVS course.
