Internship title: Events and marketing officer for Creative Innovation 2013 Internship location: Melbourne (Southbank) Internship period: Now until December 2013 Schedule: To be negotiated (Between 2-5 days per week) Level of supervision provided: Intermediate. The intern must be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative. Skills & qualifications required: Suit a Masters or Bachelor graduate or near graduate of events or marketing with partnerships and social media knowledge and experience Excellent computer skills required Experience in developing successful sponsorships/partnerships and marketing and social media campaigns to promote events advantageous Able to source leads, build rapport and develop relationships over the phone Excellent spoken and written English essential Able to think outside the square Able to contribute operationally to events Able to work independently A high level of professionalism is required for this role Sales/marketing experience advantageous Media and PR skills advantageous Responsibilities: Contribute to events planning, including seeking sponsorship Liaising with partners, potential partners, and suppliers Assisting the executive producer and other members of the team with the planning and organization of the conference Assist in development and deliver a social media campaign to promote events This is a volunteer position, but will provide excellent experience in events and marketing. The successful intern will also be volunteering at the Ci2013 conference, providing them with the incredible opportunity of attending presentations by numerous world-class speakers, leaders and thinkers.
