WELCOME PRESENTATION & KEYNOTE SPEAKER

A must-see session for all attendees. This 30-minute session features current EFSC student leaders, a welcome from College President Dr. Jim Richey and guest speaker, Michael Cadore. Mr. Cadore, a former NFL player, active community leader and Associate Provost of the Cocoa Campus, will share his Principles of Success. You won’t want to miss it! 1

Considering a career in Business? Let's start with the basics. EFSC offers a wide variety of programs, degrees and certificates to help prepare graduates for positions in business and industry. Teachers do more than teach, and their impact extends far beyond the classroom. This workshop will discuss the benefits of majoring in Education and becoming a teacher in Brevard County. Healthcare occupations are expected to grow 15% in the next 10 years. If you are considering a career in healthcare, this is a must attend session! Learn the basics of nursing and health sciences programs at EFSC, the application and selection process, and get an overview of our state-of-theart facilities. Do you have what it takes to be in law enforcement? This session will provide an overview of the requirements to enter the academy and the coursework that is needed to complete it. We'll also discuss the job outlook locally and statewide for academy graduates.

EFSC's Engineering program can provide you with the skills needed to be successful in the engineering field, including a two-year degree and university transfer opportunities. Join us for an overview of this program of study, including student work!

 The Magic Carpet Ride of College

The Fire Training Academy prepares students to meet state firefighter standards. This session will include information about expectations for the physical requirements and required contact hours for each of the two components. Career opportunities within and outside the state will also be discussed. Horticulture Technology is a newer career and degree opportunity offered on the Melbourne Campus. Learn what career opportunities are there for graduates as well as how the program can launch a lifelong passion for the green industry. Higher education can be so much more than meets the eye. Transform your life and the world around you by creating a journey of new explorations.

 Questions That Matter

Interested in research? Undergraduate research allows students to pursue answers to novel questions. EFSC is an excellent place for students to explore undergraduate research projects.

 Diagnostic Medical

When most people think of ultrasounds, they think of pregnant women finding out the baby's gender. However, becoming a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is more than obstetrics. Diagnostic sonography is used on many parts of the body. In this session, you will learn more about EFSC's Diagnostic Medical Sonography Associate in Science Degree program and how it trains students to perform general ultrasound procedures.

Physical therapy helps people live healthy and active lives. Study to become a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help physical therapists treat patients of all ages with injuries, disabilities, or other health conditions or those who simply want to prevent future problems. PTAs can have a profound effect on people’s lives — come learn how. Join us virtually on the Cocoa Campus in the Simpkins Fine Arts Center for a "behind the scenes" look at an acting class at EFSC. Acting classes acquaint students with basic acting techniques. Action! Experience college course content as you explore the proficiency required to succeed in today’s technologically enhanced global workplace by focusing on the development of professional interpersonal, verbal, nonverbal and written communication. Take flight and think beyond! Aerospace technicians operate and repair the many systems associated with launch vehicles, payloads, and ground equipment. Aviation airframe and powerplant mechanics inspect, service and repair aircraft and their vast advanced systems. Both career paths give you opportunity to work in the aviation and aerospace industry. There are many technological jobs in these fields include testing, fabrication, assembly, repair and manufacturing. Join the CSI team to view a mock crime scene and engage in asking questions and identifying important clues. The crime scene simulates an act of violence with dead body and fake blood. Trigger warning: Blood Cybersecurity is a very hot field right now and EFSC's Cybersecurity program is a great way to break in. Join us for some cybersecurity awareness activities and more. This college-class style presentation will cover the known facts of the Manson murders case, as well as how the crimes have changed popular culture over the past 5 decades. This session will enlighten students on what it's like to have a degree in social and human services and the options available to them. Join us for a discussion on the degree requirements, the job opportunities and what it's like to work in the field.

It’s time to wrap up College for A Day! Be sure to attend this closing session after lunch for important information on your next steps in your college journey, interactive trivia and a chance to win prizes including a 3-credit hour course ($312 value), parking permit ($40 value) and more!

1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. FINANCIAL AID & FAFSA WORKSHOP This optional session will provide you with an overview of financial aid and get you started on your FAFSA by creating an FSA ID. You will also learn about Titan Scholarships including how and when to apply. Over $2.5 million dollars in Titan Scholarships have been awarded over the last five years – don’t miss out!

1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. APPLICATION & ADMISSIONS ASSISTANCE Reserve your seat today! These optional and by appointment only group workshops will provide you with real-time help with the Eastern Florida State College Online Application for Admission. An enrollment specialist will walk you through the process of: ✓ Creating an account ✓ Completing and submitting the application ✓ Understanding your next steps ✓ Reviewing your senior success checklist .
