How CAN they?? You CAN help! 4:2 In 2005 Pastor Young Ha Kim and his wife Margaret began mission work in Seoul, South Korea.

After attending Bethany Lutheran Seminary in Mankato and continuing until he received his doctorate, Sung (Samuel) Choi began the Seoul Theological Institute (STI) with the intent of preparing Korean men for the ministry.

Cross-stitch Provided $5000 in 2016 to help with some of the needs of the Seoul Theological Institute.

Dr. Choi writes and tells us how the Institute (in South Korea’s very advanced technological society) used the Cross-stitch funds: Logos S/W upgrade $1,500 (Logos is Bible software that provides a digital library of hundreds of books – all of Luther’s works at your finger tips.) Many e-books = $2,000 Seminars (like the ones provided by John Vogt and others) = $1,500

JaeWoong Kim, who wrote the following statement was an elder in the Seoul Lutheran Church and a student at (STI). Soon he will be ordained and will serve a new congregation. “Forty years have passed since I believed in Jesus Christ. Then, God made me realize that I was a sinner on hearing the Good News. I also knew that only God’s grace could save me. Now, I continue to ask questions. Because I think a good Christian and a good pastor should answer any questions clearly, I am searching for the clear answers to the questions through the Seoul Theological Institute. (STI) Christianity is based on the revealed truth of the Bible. It is namely the words of God. Therefore, the Bible is the foundation and absolute basis for the faith and theology of Christianity. In other words, doctrines of Christianity must not be based on the truth apprehended through one’s study but only from the Bible as the written revelation of God and the rule of the objective truth evaluated theologically by the Bible. The Seoul Theological Institute clearly provides such perspectives.” Helping provide needed materials for the Seoul Theological Institute is just one of many projects that Cross-stitch supports thanks to your generous donations.
