Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and shall be liable for any hazards created or accident, illness or damage caused by the action of themselves or their animals at the Showgrounds. Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate Animal Legislation and the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. No person is permitted in any judging ring without express permission from the Head Steward of that ring. Only persons directly responsible for an Exhibit are permitted in the marshalling area.

Completed TB Declaration cards MUST accompany all cattle and be available for inspections on request – To be produced at the gate of Cambridge A & P Show Grounds.

NO CARD! NO ENTRY! 22 The Cambridge A & P Society shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused (inter alia) through disease or infection howsoever arising. OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRY 35 In the case of young cattle where the registration number of the animal is not yet available, the date of birth and the name of Sire & Dam must be given at time of entry. (They must be eligible for entry in their respective Herd Book). FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCES 54 Any animal may be tested for Drugs or Forbidden Substances at any Show under the Bye-Laws & Regulations adopted by the RAS and the Procedures adopted by the FSJC.

Mid Northern District will select shows at random. The RAS Test Stewards designated with this task are not known by the Show organisers prior to the day of the Show. Animals will be chosen at random by the Test Stewards.

55(a)3 DRUGS or FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCE means any substance capable of affecting the speed, stamina, courage or conduct of the animal by its action upon the central or peripheral nervous system or the cardio-vascular, respiratory, alimentary, digestive, muscoskeletal or urogenital systems. COMPETITOR OBLIGATIONS 66 Exhibitors must provide sufficient attendants to take charge of each entry, and lead them into the Show Ring when required. 67

No distinguishing mark of ownership or stud name, with the exception of ‘earmarks, tattoos, ear tags’ and registered brands, may be attached to any animal exhibited.

The Cambridge A & P Society reserves the right to make any alteration in Show Timetable or to postpone the Show or withdraw any event as may be deemed desirable.

CATTLE 85 Age of all Cattle shall be computed as at 1st June. All animals shall be deemed to be one year older on this date. 93

All Pedigree cattle 1yr old and over must be Registered with the Breed Society, and no bull or heifer under 2yrs of age shall be eligible for Championships with the exception of Beef Breeds.

DAIRY 97 All Dairy Bulls two years and over must be rung, have two leaders and be under adequate supervision. 100

All cows 3yrs of age and over, that have been tested and have production records printed.

BEEF 94 All bulls 12 months and over must be rung and led by the ring, and be under adequate supervision. 4

No one to stay on the grounds overnight • ALL CATTLE must be on the grounds by 9.00 a.m. ready for judging, except where otherwise stated. •

All cattle to be named in each class apart from teams



No dairy stock allowed on the grounds prior to 6.00 a.m. on the day of the show



All exhibitors must clear cattle areas of vehicles by 8.45am.



All cattle must be haltered and led for judging.



No cattle to leave the Showgrounds before 2.00pm unless arranged with Chief Steward.

Unless otherwise stated, a group shall be interpreted to mean one bull and three females, all of whom shall have competed in the Show, and the bull not less than 12 months old.

Show preparation and appearance of exhibitor and goat taken into account. Exhibitors’ age to be included on entry form plus their grade, (bronze, silver, gold, advance).

Junior Headsperson – 15 years up to 25 years showing an adult goat. To be judged on presentation and knowledge of the anatomy of the animal, also the handling and health of the adult goat. Does not have to be long to the exhibitor.
