Welcome Letter It is with great pleasure to introduce you to attend the Nanotechnology training course The aim of the present course is to educate young scientists, researchers and engineers about Nanotechnology and its applications in different fields. This Training program will make researcher and scientist be explored to multidisciplinary fundamental concepts in nanoscience, nanomedicine and engineering. The topic of the courses is Nanotechnology : our opportunity for better future”. The individual sessions will be devoted to: Nanotechnology Education, standardization and social perception of benefits and risks Nanotechnology Biomedical applications Nanotechnology Energy and Environmental applications Nanotechnology for catalysis and petrochemical industries Nanotechnology for green building Nanotechnology and composite materials for better mechanical properties Future applications and new ideas. Nanotechnologies open opportunities and challenges for our new generations to get involved in making things. The Forum will create a unique opportunity for researchers from different fields to meet, discuss, co-operate, and to contribute in Nanotechnology research. On behalf of the organizers, I am inviting you to take part in this courses. We hope that you will not miss this unique opportunity to learn about Nanotechnology and to meet the Egyptian leaders in the Nanotechnology field.

About the Course The science of the miniature-nanotechnology, though a relatively new field is fast emerging as the 'favorites of all' kind of technological arena due to its application in almost every field, from medicine to fabrics. Material, when reduced to nanodimension (10-9metre =1nanometre) shows drastic changes in physical, chemical, magnetic, optical, mechanical and electrical properties. The emerging field of nanoscience and nanotechnology is leading to a technological revolution in the new millennium. The application of nanotechnology has enormous potential to greatly influence the world in which we live. From consumer goods, electronics, computers, information and biotechnology, to aerospace defense, energy, environment, and medicine, all sectors of the economy are to be profoundly impacted by nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary subject which essentially combines physics, chemistry, bio-informatics, bio-technology, engineering, etc. though, the field is at present in infancy stage. As a result, there is a great demand for students who has nanotechnology background because a large number of industries and laboratories in Egypt and overseas would lab them up. There are many exciting new fields which will open up for the nanotechnology and nanotechnology research.

NanoTechnology Courses for Engineering and Biomedicine: Nano Tech Egypt (NTE) will offer courses to introduce and train young scientist and

student on nanotechnology. Distinguished instructors will summarize the basics and the potential applications of this new technology. The course will offer knowledge and training on the development and modification of nanomaterials with atomic precision where the dimension of particles is less than 100 nanometers. It is an interdisciplinary subject that integrates the study of physics, chemistry, material science, biotechnology, engineering, as well as other disciplines. There will be a huge demand for students who have done Nanotechnology Courses in a good number of industries and laboratories in Egypt and abroad.

Introductory to Nanotechnology:

The course aims to generate an understanding of the physics and electronic structure of the nanoscale materials and to provide an overview of the current state of the art in the wideranging and rapidly developing field of nanotechnology.
