Daniel’s Story By Addyson M. Daniel couldn’t believe his boss was about to fire him. He needed to prove to him that he can still have his job. He was only seventeen now he really didn’t want to lose his job. It was really hard because he had a test that was about 75 pages long and he had to take off some days to study for it. So he thought about how to make his boss change his mind…DING he had an idea. Every day he went to work he had to work hard to get a lot of customers and keep the place clean. The next morning he had to work and after had to study. When he went to work he worked very hard and he got five customers and got paid $65. He was proud and he told his boss and his boss was proud of him too. The next morning it was the day of the assessment and he was so scared that he prayed and prayed. When he got to this school he told his teacher, “I’m going to do horrible on that test.” The teacher scoffed and she said, “You’re going to do just fine.” So he sat down and the teacher gave him his test and he began. “Done,” he said. “Alright,” said the teacher. He was worried and he didn’t know if he would get a good grade. So the next day he went to school and speed walked to his classroom and he said to his teacher, “What did I get?” She said, “You got a 95. You missed only two problems but you got the highest grade in the whole class!” “Really?” he asked. “Yup,” she said. He was ecstatic about that but he still had work so he continued working hard and then his boss came up to him day and said, “I’ve noticed a difference in you and I like it.” Daniel thanked him and thought to himself, “Phew I thought he was about to
fire me.” But the good thing is Daniel didn’t get fired for a while. He said to himself, “I knew I could do it.”
