CALLING ALL YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 5-17 YEARS OF AGE! The Sooke Youth Show Choir will be holding auditions for the musical "Aladdin" on WEDNESDAY, November 25th and THURSDAY, November 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Saseenos Elementary School in Sooke. Be prepared to: - Learn and perform a 16-count dance combination (wear comfortable clothing) - Act out a small scene from the musical - Sing two SHORT sections of music (60 seconds each) - one provided by you, one provided by us Auditions will be in groups of two in 10-minute slots. Materials are available from our Facebook page (see link below). The rehearsals for this production will run from January through May/June on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Performances will run in June (exact dates yet to be determined). The performance will take place in a professional theatre space, with costumes, lights, microphones, choreography, and more. Venue rental, sheet music, insurance, professional instruction, posters, tickets, (and so on!) are costly. As such, the fees for participating will be $20/month plus a $10/family membership fee.
