Civil Aviation Directive: Licensing of Aerodromes GENERAL Civil Aviation (Civil Aviation Directives) Regulations, 2005 empowers the Authority to issue civil aviation directives on the matters which are prescribed by regulations.

DIRECTIVE It is hereby directed that the requirements for the licensing of aerodromes are those laid down in the Seychelles Aviation Requirements known as “Manual of Aerodrome Standards” as amended, except as provided for below.

COMMENCEMENT

PURPOSE Document SCAA CAD-ADR/68(1) contains the technical standards, rules, requirements, methods, specifications, characteristics and procedures which are applicable in respect of the Licensing of Aerodromes.

This Directive shall come into force on 24th August 2007.

APPLICABILITY

EXCEPTIONS

Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order Part IX, 68(1).

The words “aerodrome certification” shall be read as “licensing of aerodromes”.

INCORPORATION OF NATIONAL AVIATION STANDARDS

The words “Aerodrome Certificate” shall be read as “Aerodrome License” or “license”.

Civil Aviation (Civil Aviation Directives) Regulations, 2005 empowers the Authority to incorporate by reference into a directive, any national aviation standard.

The words “certified aerodrome operator” shall be read as “licensee of an aerodrome”.

The Seychelles Aviation Requirements known as “Manual of Aerodrome Standards”, (original issue dated July 2007), is incorporated into the technical standards contained in this document.

The words “certified aerodrome” shall be read as “licensed aerodrome”.
