Student Learning Outcomes BUS 001A FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1 Prepare and analyze financial statements that meet the needs of service shareholders, creditors, investors, managers, regulatory agencies, service and merchandizing businesses. 2 Compare and contrast the various financial reporting requirements for different business entities using appropriate accounting vocabulary. 3 Analyze financial transactions and accurately record business transactions with a focus on the accounting cycle and the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4 Identify and illustrate how the principles of internal controls are used to manage and control the firm's resources and minimize risk. 5 Identify and illustrate issues relating to current assets, liabilities, and owners' equity.
