STUDY PROGRAMMES Four Theological Education Programmes for training in church leadership: • The Certificate Programme provides a simple biblical foundation for academic learning and Christian character. This programme is at least a one year programme. Instruction at this level is not accredited but offered as church-based training. Students who pass this course are allowed entrance into the next level of learning. • The Diploma in Theology provides a systematic introduction to major areas of theological study, including both academic study and practical application of biblical truth. It is designed as a foundational programme for church leaders, serving as preparation for further academic studies. This is at least a two year programme. • The Bachelors in Pastoral Theology Degree provides a comprehensive study of all aspects of theology, including both the academic research and practical application of biblical truth. It is designed to prepare church leaders for all aspects of Christian ministry. This 4 year programme is open to all candidates with credible Christian profession who are called by God into the pastoral ministry of the Word and leadership in the Church. • The Bachelors of Arts Honours in Theology Degree (BA Hons) provides active church leaders with further instruction in academic research and practical application of biblical truth in the context of Christian ministry. This programme is open to all pastoral ministry students with a credible Christian profession. It is ideally suited for those with prior experience as pastors in a local Christian church. This is a programme of the North West University (NWU) and accredited by them. Continuing Teacher Education Programmes for teachers are offered in collaboration with North West University (NWU) and the Academy for the Professional Enhancement of Educators (APEE). The following programmes are offered: • National Professional Teachers Diploma (NPTD) • Advanced Certificate in Education (ACE) • BEd Honours The programmes are offered on designated Saturdays.

Mukhanyo Distance programme extends the reach of the college far beyond the circumferences of both the KwaMhlanga and Johannesburg locations. The Certificate and Diploma in Theology programmes are offered.

Workshops are also offered—short workshops to equip evangelists, Sunday school teachers, elders and deacons and also workshops to refresh and encourage preachers.

Roedolf Botha is an evangelist, church leader, church planter and Bible teacher whose personal life mission it is to further the evangelization of the world by training the church of Jesus Christ through seminars, DVD material, teaching and church planting, so that the church can offer an articulate and intelligent voice in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus in the market place of life. Roedolf has earned a B.A, B.D. and Masters degree at RAU, The University of Pretoria and UNISA respectively, and is currently busy with his doctorate in New Testament at the University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands under South African theologian Jan van der Watt. He was a pastor in two Dutch Reformed Churches from 1993 to 2000, Roedolf is married to Marié and they have two children John Gilchrist is one of the world’s most renowned authorities on Islam. He has addressed countless seminars across the world, published several books and has debated the top Muslim scholars in the world. He’s been involved in Muslim evangelism for more than 4 decades, addressing the intellectual and emotional issues Muslims face today. In 2010 John became involved with AnTwoord Apologetics Ministry enjoying topics such as Islam, Gnostic Gospels and the age old Creation/Evolution debate. Dr. Henk Stoker holds a PhD in Theology at the NWU Potchefstroom. His doctoral dissertation focussed on his first love in ministry, which is reaching out to Jehovah’s Witnesses. Dr. Stoker isn’t only a serious member of the academic community when it comes to this topic, but has done door to door evangelism amongst JW’s for decades. He has published numerous books and articles related to cults and has been part of AnTwoord Apologetics Ministry for the last year specifically focusing on cults. Dr. André van Zyl grew up in Benoni and currently resides in Kempton park on the Gauteng East rand. By vocation André is a teacher and he has taught students on a wide variety of academic levels and in various settings. For the past 7 years he has been working in the field of Academic Development at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). During the past two years his work at UJ has led to the establishment of the UJ First Year Experience (FYE) programme aimed at assisting students with their adaptation to tertiary studies. For more than 20 years now, André has continued asking tough questions and finding the Christian answers. In an effort at sharing these answers with other Christians in a more formalized way, André was one of the founding members of the AntWoord ministry.
