“I think we should get a divorce Josh” “I agree but how will we tell John?” Those were the words that I heard on accident and broke my heart. I did not know what to d , I was only seven years old back then. Then I thought “I will do anything to bring my parents back together”. By that I meant A-NY-THING. The only problem was to make sure they would not find out or my plan would be ruined. One week passed and still no progress. They seem to be fighting all the time. I won’t give up, I just can’t. No matter what I try nothing works. Not even ice cream, going to the park, or taking a walk works. I soon realized nothing would work but I did not stop trying. Three weeks passed and they got the divorce. My heart broke into 26 pieces. I still visit my Dad but not much often. They still get along so it doesn’t really feel like their divorced, to me at least. “Thank you John for sharing your story, you may go sit down, Max, your next!”
