Two days of all you ever wanted to know about migratory and beach-nesting shorebirds 9-10th September 2014

Tuesday 9th Sept:

9:30am-1:50pm Mudbrick Pavilion:

A morning of presentations about migratory and resident shorebirds from BirdLife Australia’s Shorebirds 2020 and Beachnesting Birds project managers. Hear about the diversity of shorebirds using our shores, the challenges facing birds that nest in coastal habitats, and the conservation efforts occurring around Australia. Hear from locals about key shorebird sites around Mallacoota, and even take part in a shorebird ID quiz!

Morning tea and lunch provided

2:00pm to 4:00pm Beach (to be decided):

Come along to the beach for a series of training sessions on identifying shorebirds, animal tracks and native plants and weeds.

Wednesday 10th Sept:

10:15am – 2:30pm Mudbrick Pavilion: A morning of presentations from locals and BirdLife Australia staff including training on how to identify nesting behaviours, protect nesting sites, and opportunities for participation in BirdLife Australia’s Beachnesting Birds and Shorebirds 2020 projects. Morning tea and lunch provided
