Student Learning Outcomes BIOSC 030 GENOMICS THEORY
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1 Discuss the new trends of the DNA industry, debate the pros and cons behind these changes, and relate this to the future of DNA sequencing, analysis and application. 2 Describe DNA, RNA, protein synthesis and gene expression and relate this to modern DNA analysis. 3 Demonstrate working knowledge of genomics equipment including PCR, gel electrophoresis, micro-robotic instruments, DNA shearing devices and fragment analyzer.
