Biology Final Exam Review What is the scope of material covered on the exam? Please see Ms. Shafai’s Fall Final Study Guide for a complete listing of sections and major topics. Since it is almost impossible to read all this material a second time, how should you go about organizing your preparation time? Start by reviewing the old unit test. Come in to Ms. Shafai’s office hours and go over them with her. Read the multiple choice questions, short answers, and essays and take inventory of what you a. still know well, b. what you need to brush up on, and c. what you do not understand. For those items you listed as the last two options proceed with these recommendations: What you need to brush up on… * Reread these sections * View the CyberEd CD-Rom material that covers the topic (come in to Ms. Shafai’s office hours) * Work in a study group reviewing the section worksheets (find these on the Forte web page) and quizzing each other on vocabulary. What you do not understand… • Get yourself in for tutoring (you probably need some help with how to find the resources that best will help you). • Don’t try to cram it in all at once. Try spending one hour at school and one hour at home each day with a selected topic. The next day try another review topic. What is the format of the Final Exam?
