Assignment 1 (Study Questions – Chapter 3) 10% (Due 22 Mac 2013) Read chapter 3 and provide short answers for all the study questions for the chapter on page 95-96. You should email your answers to me by 22 March 2013 and submit the hardcopy to your learning centre as well. You should submit your assignment to Turnitin to check for plagiarism. Assignment 3 (Review of Research Articles) – 15% due 17 Mei 2013 Identify one research articles that was published between 2006-2012 on any of the following research areas in psycholinguistics. Second Language Speech Perception Second Language Lexical Access Second language sentence processing Second Language speech production
Provide a summary of the study by extracting the following information from the article: What was studied? (The problem investigated) The importance of the study (Rationale/ hypothesis of the study) How the data was collected? (Methodology) What did the study find? (Results and Discussion/conclusion) Then describe how the problem investigated in the article is related to any issue discussed in the textbook (Chapters 3-8). Your discussion should NOT exceed 7 pages. Marking Scheme: Content: 10 marks Language: 5 marks Originality 5 marks Total 20 marks (15%)
