Pixie The Unicorn by Brooke C. Once upon a time, there lived a unicorn named Pixie. She was different from all the other unicorns. All the other unicorns could make dreams come true and give wishes to others. Poor Pixie didn’t know what to do. One day Pixie was going to the park to sit under a tree where she always sits. No one said hi to her. No one spoke to her either. Poor Pixie was so sad so she went home. As Pixie sat down, she wondered if those other unicorns knew she was different? She thought and she thought some more. A lightbulb went off in her head. She went back to the park. She stood up on a bench and yelled, “All unicorns may I please have your attention?” “My name is Pixie. I am different from all of you and...”. Before she could even finish her speech, everyone started laughing at her. Pixie didn’t finish speaking and walked home with her head hanging low. As she was walking home everyone stared at her. She was floating up into the air. Pixie didn’t know what was going on. Suddenly, something grew on her. They had purple stripes and blue polkadots. They’re wings! Pixie can fly! No one knew what to say. They were too amazed to speak. From then on, Pixie got all the attention she needed and wanted. Even though Pixie is different, she is very happy to be herself. Pixie lived happily ever after!
